Sitting on the couch…vegging in front of T.V…the perfect way to end the day.

Gym today was tough.

It was leg day – LOVE training legs – except for today. For some unexplainable reason I had a POUNDING headache. It started probably 20 minutes before I got to the gym and by the time I started the first set of my workout – I wanted to scream.

But – I pushed through…it made my leg press that much harder…but I did do 2 sets (12, 10 reps) with 180lbs. A personal best on the leg press! I have to say – it looked pretty cool having 2 45lb plates on either side of the machine! I felt really diesel and after looking around the gym realized that I could’ve probably beat up more than half of the guys in there – lol.

After legs today I had 30 minutes of HIIT on the Stair Climber.

That was probably the hardest part of the workout – knowing that I had 30 minutes of sweat busting work to do with a pounding head. But lucky for me I had my iPod – the Olympics were on (which helped to keep me focused on what I was training for) – and my trainer was on the Stair Climber next to me – offering those words of encouragement when I thought I couldn’t take another step.

I made it through…and when all was said and done…I’m glad I pushed through the pounding. I sweated myself that much closer to my goal and at the end of the day that’s all that matters!

And now its time to shut down the computer…watch some Olympics…then head to bed!
