For Tight And Toned Arms
So everyone wants tight and toned arms right? Especially for the summer time, it’s tank top weather!
Flat Stomach Exercise of the Week – Alternating Lunges
Get a tight toned butt in time for shorts season. Add this move to your workout and you’ll be feeling a burn in all the right places – making sure that your glutes, hamstrings, and quads look sleek and sexy no matter what you are wearing.
To make this move more challenging add weight – hold dumbbells in either hand – challenging your muscles to work a bit harder and therefore burning just a bit more fat. This will in turn increase your weight loss results.

One Move to Get Rid of Flabby Arms
We all know that women need to lift weights in order to get a tight and toned physique. One exercise that many women stay away from is the Chest Press. However, this is a big mistake, especially when trying to tone your arms and get rid of arm flab.
First, I would like to say I understand WHY many women stay away from the chest press. Its the one exercise that you look at and not only does it look kind of scary, but there is always some dude at the gym with 4 plates on each side trying to get his ‘pump’ on. And going to sit next to him is always slightly intimidating because what if you don’t know what you are doing?
But that can no longer be your worry – as of now you will know exactly HOW to do a chest press and WHY you need to add it to your exercise routine.
Watch the video below and you’ll be burning fat and getting rid of arm flab in no time!

Flat Stomach Exercise of the Week – EZ Bar Skull Crushers
When you read the title of this article I’m sure you’re thinking – what has she come up with next? I promise this exercise really won’t crush you in the head – its just a term to scare you away from it. This exercise is a great exercise for women to lift weights and will help you get tight, toned arms.
This week’s Flat Stomach Exercise of the Week for your Flat Stomach Workout helps us get rid of those flabby arms that nobody wants by focusing on our triceps.
Just in case you’re not quite sure – your triceps are located on the back of your arm. They connect your elbow and shoulder joints and help with movement of your arm. Your triceps, along with other smaller muscles, help keep your back straight and strong. Having strong, tight triceps helps keep your joints strong and ensures limited injury to these joints as well as helping you through daily activities – such as picking up your car keys or making dinner.
Making sure you have strong, tight triceps helps get rid of that ‘flabby arm’ look that no woman likes when wearing a t-shirt, tank top or strapless dress. When you build your tricep muscles you help to burn the fat in the surrounding area, thus bringing out some definition and keeping your arms tight and toned. Who doesn’t want tight, toned arms?
Using the EZ Bar (or a straight barbell) works both triceps at the same time spreading the weight equally across the muscles, by isolating your triceps, and helping you build strength in your triceps. Make sure to watch the video below for proper form and technique to ensure you don’t ‘crush your skull’ with the skull crusher.
Happy Training!

Flat Stomach Exercise of the Week – Stability Ball Dumbbell Chest Press
My Workout – July 15, 2009
I had to share my workout from two days ago, because I’m STILL feeling the effects two days later (Thank You D.O.M.S!) plus its a great workout to help you get lean legs and a tight toned butt. (And who isn’t working towards that?)
I wrote about my last shoulder/leg workout a few weeks ago – it was an awesome workout, but it’d been a few weeks of it and I was getting bored, so it was time to change it up. Changing my workout was definitely beneficial as I felt the burn and feeling the results of the change – new muscles are being worked that weren’t necessarily targeted in my last workout.
Legs and shoulders are easily my favorite training day – I think because I can really feel the burn and tight toned legs really show dedication to your workout, plus who doesn’t love sexy shoulders?!? Another reason – its summer and I love feeling comfortable wearing shorts!
Here’s the workout below:

If you have any questions about the exercises let me know – I’d be happy to explain them further. If you’re looking for a new leg workout – I definitely recommend this one – my legs and glutes are STILL feeling the burn two days later!
What’s your favorite leg exercise? Leave a comment below and let me know – I’d love to know!
Three Moves for a Beach Season Body
It’s the Memorial Day weekend – the sun has FINALLY come out and the temperature has risen to make it ‘beach weather’. People are trying to finish up their Friday and head home or to wherever their weekend festivities will take place. This weekend marks the beginning of “Beach Seasonâ€, an unofficial beginning to summer. It is those two words that send many people flocking to the beach to show off their ‘new and improved’ summer bodies (complete with flat abs and tight toned legs), and sends many others running to the gym to lose those 5 extra pounds before they too put on their bathing suit and head to the beach.
But just because it’s the beginning of ‘beach season’ doesn’t mean that it’s the end of your chances of ever fitting into that bathing suit and turning heads at the beach. These three moves will help you burn off those last few pounds to give you flat abs, and tight toned legs that will help you be noticed this ‘beach season’.

You need to start lifting weights.
Yes, ladies, I should not be the only woman in the free weight section of the gym. Every woman should get off of the elliptical and join me!
One exercise that is going to help you tone your arms and drop body fat is the Chest Press. Its good for people at every level of exercise because you can easily adjust the exercise to fit your fitness capabilities.

My Three Favorite Core Exercises
Your core muscles help stabilize your body during every single activity. In order to prevent injury it is important to make sure that you have a strong core. Also, having a tight strong core will help you get those flat abs you have always wanted, faster.
These are my three favorite core exercises I do during my workouts to make sure I don’t injure myself again and that my core is strong to help me become stronger.
1)   Bird Dog – Lift your right arm straight out, while you lift your opposite arm out – hold for a count of three. Continue this alternating arms and legs for a total of 16-20 reps, for 3 sets. [singlepic=10,200,200,,center]
2)   Plank – Rest your elbows on the floor and raise yourself onto your toes – hold. Hold for 30 seconds then rest 15 seconds and repeat. To make it more difficult extend the period of time you hold the plank. If you have back pain or are just beginning to work out try resting the hold on your knees instead of your toes. [singlepic=8,200,200,,center]
3)   Bridges – work your core and glutes, which work together to make your core stronger. Lie on your back, bend your knees about shoulder width apart. Lift your glute to the ceiling and hold for 3, then lower your glute back to the ground. While you are holding in the up position, make sure to squeeze your glute muscles and tighten your core.
