We often read about the latest celebrity diet and workout that helped them get in shape for an upcoming role or shed those pounds quickly after having a baby. The latest celebrity workout hype has been caused by Scarlett Johansson and her preparation and weight loss for her recent role in Iron Man 2.
Scarlett Johansson has always been supporter of living a healthy lifestyle and claims of her losing 14 pounds for her role in Iron Man 2 seem a bit far fetched for someone as petite as her. However, the right training and diet will help anyone lose weight and get in shape for any role – whether on the movie set or on the beach.
While I personally did not train Scarlett for her role as Black Widow in Iron Man 2, if I had created her flat stomach workout and flat stomach diet they would’ve consisted of clean eating and a training regimen that would get her into superhero shape, while working around her busy schedule.
Training for a super hero role like Scarlett’s in Iron Man 2 would require a balance between weight training and cardio. Her workouts would be a combination of two lower body workouts per week and two upper body workouts per week. Each of these workouts would be a combination of various weighted exercises, with minimal rest between sets, that help increase lean muscle mass and burn body fat. In order to maximize fat burning on a limited time schedule, I would also add in plyometrics – such as jump squats, jump lunges, or mountain climbers – to the end of every workout to help increase fat burning for up to 48 hours after the workout.
In order to ensure that any actress feels super confident in her superhero suit any training regimen needs to be combined with a diet of clean eating. Ensuring that each meal has the right balance of protein, healthy fats and carbs is imperative to truly seeing weight loss results.
In order to get into superhero shape – like Scarlett Johansson did for her role in Iron Man 2 – following the correct diet and training schedule will help anyone feel sexy and confident in their own super hero suit.
