Inspiration from the Arnold Expo 2010

If you are finding it hard to find the inspiration, drive, or motivation to get to the gym or stick to your flat stomach diet – then you NEED to go to the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio.

Me and the Inspiration Herself - Emily Lind

I had the pleasure of attending my first Arnold Classic this year – March 4-7, 2010 – it seems like ages ago as time has FLOWN by since I’ve been back. But honestly – those 4 days were some of the BEST four days ever. I had the opportunity to meet some of my inspirations – women that I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing for my site – women who I’ve read about in magazines and women who’s pictures have plastered my walls and vision board as the ‘ultimate physique’ I hope to one day achieve.

There is more to see in those three days than one person can possibly handle. People warned me about the crowds – but no one could really prepare you for a 45 minute wait at 9:02 am (the doors to the Expo opened at 9am) for the Bodybuilding.com booth. However, it was worth the wait – I had the chance to meet Jamie Eason and Gina Trochino. While we were there Sly Stallone stopped by the booth to say hello.

Or elbowing your way through the crowds by the BSN Booth to see Ronnie Coleman, Jennifer Nicole Lee and Alicia Romero. When I say elbowing – holy cow – I thought I was going to pass out at the number of people in that little corner!

But it was well worth the brief moment of claustrophobia – to see these people who understand the drive and the mission like you do. Its not everywhere that you can walk around having a protein shake or bust out your container of chicken and broccoli without being met by weird looks or rude comments. However, at the Arnold, everyone behind those booths has overcome the comments and the dirty looks because their dream was that much more important.

If anything that was the BEST part about the Arnold. Walking around the Expo for three days I was surrounded by people who live life like I do – driven, dedicated and focused on their bodies. (There were many spectators who may not believe that lifestyle – but hopefully they were inspired!) When I came home and I was ready and even MORE driven to make my dream physique come true.

So now its time for me to go and get it!

(I have more pictures for you – of the Men’s and Women’s Finals – will post those in another article this weekend – gotta run for now!)
